I am colleague of Jim at IU. Reading the website is a moving experience. The candidness and clarity of the thoughts expressed will cause visitors to introspect as their own lives. I know that what happened as I explored the links and read Jana's vita. To achieve the rank of full professor in 9 years is significant, but to not have time to enjoy it is so unfair. Jim and Patrica, I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. To survive the last six years you have had to have incredible strength. I certainly wish you the fortitude to endure the pain of your loss over the coming months and years.
