Beverly Joyce Stephens Hubbell Mendoza added this message on July 26, 2010: How good to read about Jana's life on her website! It has enabled me to feel very close to Jana and her family. I have found it comforting to read, "Life After Life" and "The Light Beyond", by Raymond A. Moody, Jr. M.D., which was recommended to me by William S. Stay, C.S.B., Capetown, South Africa. Also, an article by William E. Moody, "The Continuity of being excludes termination", September 1982, Christian Science Journal, p. 536 lifted me up spiritually when my son, C. Keith Hubbell passed on 25 years ago, July 24, 1985 at the age of 27 due to a car accident in Indianapolis, IN. shortly after he had graduated from Indiana University. The comforting thoughts in this article were: we discover that we are immortal when we avoid "sepulchre" thinking and instead strive to express sponaneity, thanksgiving, expectancy, patience, peace, and harmony, the only way we can see that we truly are immortal. Sheldon Zhang added this message on July 26, 2010: For a young woman who accomplished so much in such a short time on earth, this is a truly sad and sobering occasion for all of us to appreciate and reflect. I am fortunate to have known her and worked with her for a few memorable years. Sheldon Janet McCue added this message on July 26, 2010: Jana and Dan have been our neighbors for close to 6 years. My fondest memories will always be of Jana holding Dan's hand during their walks in the park and her laugh (which I could see and hear from our balcony). I feel very lucky and honored to have known such a wonderful person. My family and I will miss her dearly, but I know that she is in a happy place and smiling down on us. Lindsay Padilla (Sachs) added this message on July 26, 2010: Jana was an amazing educator. I was forever changed upon taking her Teaching Sociology course at SDSU. Her words of wisdom are with me as I venture to each new section I teach. Teaching is a very rewarding, yet demanding profession, and no one was more professional, compassionate, and selfless. Jana, I thank you for everything you taught me. You will live on in all that I do. Jonathan McCue added this message on July 26, 2010: We were privileged to know Jana and Dan as our neighbors. It was always apparent that they had a strong bond between them. Later we came to see how remarkable that bond truly was. It was profound. A true love.
